Cygnet Folk Festival One-Day Events 2021

These will be “A Day at Rosny Farm” on Saturday 9th January with featured artists including Claire Anne Taylor, Meyers and McNamara, Les Coqs Incroyable, Ned and Friends, John Coleman and the Lovely Boats and more to be announced soon!

Followed by “An Afternoon at Port Cygnet Cannery” on Sunday 10th January Featured artists include Claire Anne Taylor, Meyers and McNamara, Yyan and Emily, Dewayne Everettsmith, Tiffany Eckhardt and Friends and more to be announced soon!
Bob Brown will also conduct his popular “Earth Celebration” on the Sunday morning at the Port Cygnet Cannery.
There will also be a few pop-up events around Cygnet township on the Sunday, so keep an eye and ear out!
Tickets to all three events will of course, be very limited due to COVID restrictions, so get in quickly.
At both concert events, as well as featuring some of Tasmania’s finest musicians, there will food and drink, a lovely outdoor ambience and the opportunity to support some of the musicians and production crew who have been so adversely affected by the pandemic.
We look forward to seeing some of you in January.

 “The History Project” acknowledges all the workers, performers and lovers of the festival from the last 40 years. You can upload photos, text or a short audio recollection of festivals past and we’d love to hear from you!!

This project is supported by a Rapid Response Grant from the Huon Valley Council.

Also, if you have any old video from past events, you can either upload them to YouTube and email us the link, or perhaps add them to a USB memory stick and mail it to: 29 Macfarlane Street, South Hobart Tasmania 7004. If you have old super 8 or other film footage, please contact us.

Situated 50 minutes drive south of Hobart in the historic port town of Cygnet, Tasmania, Port Cygnet Cannery is the home of Cannery Kitchen and Bar and Sailor Seeks Horse winery and cellar door. The building was formerly an apple canning factory and is now evolving into a hub of food, beverage and agricultural businesses.
