The New Holland Honey Eaters explore Appalachian music's broad social and historical contexts - from the early Scots-Irish, German, and Afro-American settlers through the Civil War and up to World War II. Covering clan feuds, both timber and coal industrialisation, race and class relations, geography and relations with government. Utilising slides and film clips and presented in a dynamic radio-show-style format.
